Our youngest also find their musical talents as early as 4 years old. With their music teacher they sing a lot in both Polish and English languages, needless to say they love it! Just watch it for yourself :)
Not only they sing songs, but they also come up with balet choreography for songs and when not dancing they do visuals for what they love to sing about.
The music teacher also works with the youngest students at the preschool. Some of them are not even 2 years old, but they sure can dance and do all the set choreography for the songs.
Story time with Mrs. Karolina
As a part of our project one of our teachers regularly visited preschool with English stories. They all have a cool moral at the end, and the students love them! They like books so much they did their own graphic for each story that was read to them. When the preschool were closed for national quarantine the stories were still flowing towards the preschoolers, just not in person, but over a ZOOM meeting with the kids and often their parents. We also were enjoying some poems of Polish poets that the kids knew in the original, but now read in English! It was a great experience! We have foun that there are some future book graphics in that Preschool :)
Anglo - Saxon Culture Festival
Musical talents wouldn't be able to grow and develop if not the teachers. Our preschool has not one music teacher, they have more! The other oe is a great music and drum lover, he introduces students not only to drums, but also the musical genre. This spring the students of Bulhaczek Preschool were learning from their music teachers everything about Anglo-Saxon music. Just look at the drum sets they have, but they also were trying their best with Irish dances! Here is to learning about cultures and traditions at the young age.
Musical talents through Percussion Lessons
Our preschoolers became fans of drum set, no matter how small or how big the preschooler is they love the sound of drums. As a proof of that we have choosen a few videoclips from their lessons. In the videos our girl trio is playing along a wellknown M. Ravela Bolero. Different percussion instruments join in at a different time to play along with the snare drum. The girls play seemingly simple rhythms, but each one has her own and they enter at a different time (hence the counting). It is very difficult not only for children! And they are doing very well, they are talented and ambitious, and as you can see they are having a great time (falling into a musical trance). Many would doubt that one can teach it to children, yet here is the proof that it can be done. At Bułhaczek even little ones from nursery group get their turn to play reggae on drums ;)
